Shepherd's Star Achievers Program has announced its registration dates for the 2023-2024 school year.  The program is aiming to have a capacity of about 50 students in before care and 150 students for aftercare. All capacities are subject to change based on classroom and staffing availability. 

Early Registration

• Current SESSA families have the opportunity to register early for next school year (SY 2023-24) prior to the general registration window. 
• The early registration window opens June 26th, 2023 at 12am until July 2nd at 11:59pm. 
• Early registration is password protected so if you are a current family, please check your email for the SESSA announcement and password.

General Registration

• General registration begins July 3rd until August 25th, 2023. 
• General registration is operated on a first come, first serve basis with a waitlist if capacity is reached
• General registration will close August 25th. This is to allow SESSA to finalize rosters, classrooms and staff placements. If you are not able to sign up by August 25th you must wait until after Labor Day to register.

Late Registration

• Late registration begins after Labor Day on September 4th through April 30th. Child(ren) will be placed in a group if a spot is available or put on a waitlist. Waitlisted families who have been notified that space is available will have 48 hours to confirm their spot before moving on to the next waitlist family.

The June All-School Morning Meeting will be hosted by 3rd Grade on Friday, June 16th at 9:00 am and will be a Celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month, Juneteenth, the IB Learner Profile Attribute of the month: Reflective and Approaches to Learning: Communication Skills. The Teacher Appreciation Program, or TAP, gives parents an opportunity to recognize a teacher at Shepherd for their great work and dedication. TAP invites parents to write a letter of appreciation recognizing a teacher who has been especially helpful or admirable in the classroom. 

Once a month, a special teacher will be selected from the nominations to receive a Wishlist fund bonus.  The recognition letters will also be shared with the selected teacher and school community.
