2023-2024 PTO Committees
Please consider volunteering to be a Committee Lead for the 2023-2024 school year. These committee leads are critical to the execution and planning of many of our PTO efforts. We are grateful that a handful of Committee Leads plan to return, but our goal is to secure co-leads for all committees next year so we are always looking for more volunteers. As a refresher, the Committees are:

Summer Save-the-Dates
We are still finalizing plans for a few PTO events over the summer, but we wanted to allow the community to save-the-dates in advance. Some dates - like the Summer Playdate - may be subject to change. More information will be released as we get closer to the dates.

Summer T-Shirt Design Contest
The Shepherd PTO wanted to celebrate Shepherd creativity and pride by offering a T-shirt design contest this summer.
The Rules:
Open to all students, and teams of students
Design must incorporate the name Shepherd Elementary School, and school colors
Winner(s) will be selected by a panel of Shepherd representatives and will get a free t-shirt with their design.
Shepherd Star Achievers (SESSA) 2023-2024 Registration
Shepherd's Star Achievers Program has announced its registration dates for the 2023-2024 school year. The program is aiming to have a capacity of about 50 students in before care and 150 students for aftercare. All capacities are subject to change based on classroom and staffing availability.
Early Registration
Current SESSA families have the opportunity to register early for next school year (SY 2023-24) prior to the general registration window.
The early registration window opens June 26th, 2023 at 12am until July 2nd at 11:59pm.
Early registration is password protected so if you are a current family, please check your email for the SESSA announcement and password.
General Registration
General registration begins July 3rd until August 25th, 2023.
General registration is operated on a first come, first serve basis with a waitlist if capacity is reached
General registration will close August 25th. This is to allow SESSA to finalize rosters, classrooms and staff placements. If you are not able to sign up by August 25th you must wait until after Labor Day to register.
Late Registration
Late registration begins after Labor Day on September 4th through April 30th. Child(ren) will be placed in a group if a spot is available or put on a waitlist. Waitlisted families who have been notified that space is available will have 48 hours to confirm their spot before moving on to the next waitlist family.
