We are partnering once again with the AMAZING Katie Jett Walls for morning and afternoon mini-sessions on October 14th,15th and 21st. Mini-sessions will be offered at the following dates & times. 

• Morning session on Saturday, October 14th between 8AM and 10AM in hip and colorful Blagden Alley in Shaw, DC(meet at La Colombe, 924 Rear N St. NW Washington, DC 20001)
• Afternoon session on Saturday, October 14th between 3PM and 6PM at the Historic Rose Garden at The Parks at Walter Reed (1010 Butternut St NW, Washington, DC 20012)
• Morning session on Sunday, October 15th between 8AM and 10AM in The Meadow at Dale Drive Neighborhood Park in Silver Spring(125 Dale Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20910)
• NEW SESSION! Afternoon of Saturday, October 21st between 4PM and 6PM at the Historic Rose Garden at The Parks at Walter Reed (1010 Butternut St NW, Washington, DC 20012)

$125 fee will secure a spot, with $50 of the fee applied to any photo package (digital or print) purchased.

Sign-ups will be first come, first served based on paid sitting fee, with families requested to provide timing and location preferences for mini-sessions when registering. 

After completing the form, please proceed to the PayPal site to make the $125 donation.

Please mark your calendars for the second PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday,October 18th at 5:30 pm. In order to complete our in-person brainstorming activity that we had to postpone from last month, this meeting will be held exclusively in-person at the Shepherd Cafeteria. Future meetings will offer virtual options.

The Teacher Appreciation Program, or TAP, gives parents an opportunity to recognize a teacher at Shepherd for their great work and dedication. TAP invites parents to write a letter of appreciation recognizing a teacher who has been especially helpful or admirable in the classroom. 

Once a month, a special teacher will be selected from the nominations to receive a Wishlist fund bonus.  The recognition letters will also be shared with the selected teacher and school community.
