Are you, or do you know, a good website administrator? If so, Shepherd PTO is looking for someone to manage our school's website administration. This effort would include arrangement of website hosting services, domain registration, managing Wordpress Engine, Cornerstone, and Google Workspace licensing, as well as minor web administrator support (~3-5 hours/year) including plug-in and security updates and other routine maintenance. If you are willing to volunteer, or have a connection to a website administrator/provider who may be able to assist, please reach out to PTOTreasurer@shepherd-elementary.org. Thank you.

Ward 3 Feeder Education Network - (W3EdNet) is made up of PTO, HSA, LSAT, and other interested community members from schools in the Jackson Reed High School feeder pattern. The W3EdNet seeks to build ties among their school communities, share information among school leaders, and promote a better public school system for all Washingtonians.  

Tuesday, January 9 at 7pm via Zoom:  The January meeting will focus again on the District's Boundary and Student Assignment Process. We will welcome back Jen Comey and Rebecca Lee from the Deputy Mayor for Education's office, as well as Anna Johnson, who is a Ward 3 parent on the advisory committee.  We will hear from each of them on the proposed changes to boundaries and policies and have an opportunity to ask questions and share our own views. Tuesday, February 13 at 7pm via Zoom:  At the February meeting, we will host Council Chair Phil Mendelson.  The Council Chair will update us on education-related matters that the council has been discussing, as well as share his vision for education in the city, as chair of the committee of the whole, which is responsible for education issues.  We will then take questions from the audience. Our Shepherd Elementary gear storefront is now available for orders under "Giving Back to Shepherd" on the Shepherd website. After you've completed your purchase, gear will be delivered directly to your child's classroom within 7 business days. The PTO will still host in-person events throughout the year, but the gear store will provide a convenient alternative to those sales. 

Please note, if you select gear and it cannot be added to the bag, it is likely sold out.
